Product Description

Product Description

What if we told you that the mobile suit designs in seen in endless Waltz are canonically no different from the mid-season upgrades the original five gundams got in the TV series, that the differences you see are just In art design, and that the "custom" On all their names doesn't exist in Japan and was only added to make sense of things for American viewers when wing was on cartoon Network and being sold in American stores? We just told you that, so let it sink in for a bit. Anyway! This is the endless Waltz redesign of wing Gundam zero, and of course it features plenty of great engineering upgrades over the PG to allow for even greater pose ability and articulation, right down to the tips of the wings! The twin Buster rifle, a beam saber, and a dedicated display base are all included so you can pose this however you'd like!

From the Manufacturer

The angelic form of Wing Zero as portrayed in the OVA "Gundam Wing Endless Waltz". Recreated in stunning proportion by famed mechanical designer Hajime Katoki, Wing Zero comes with its Twin Buster Rifle, which can combine for its iconic shooting pose. Also includes 2 beam sabers, deployable shoulder machine cannons, and a special display stand.

Good Looking & Easy to Assemble. Could use some Improvements.
This is my first model kit and I'm happy to state that I'm very pleased! This particular figure is different from most of the other ones I've seen and it's very good looking. That being said, there's some things that you need to know about. So what could be improved?-- Articulation is not perfect. Although the model can be posed (the legs have a ton of movement!), there's at least a 50/50 chance that it will shift on you. I had zero success with getting the figure to hold the combined gun (the 2 separate guns can be combined into 1). No matter how I twisted the arms and hands, I just could not get stuff positioned correctly.-- No grip for the guns (there's no pegs in the hands) so the guns slip out. You're going to need Removable Mounting Putty (available for a few bucks at your local big box store)-- Doesn't stay on the mount (you're going to need that putty here also). The most rear set of wings (there's 2 sets of wings) attach to a mounting plate, and that plate clips on to the back of the model. There's a tendency for the wings to fall off taking that mounting plate with it, so the putty is needed to keep things adhered-- The mount itself isn't that great, I recommend buying a 3rd party mount (available here on Amazon)-- Stickers dent very easily. I used tweezers and a very light touch to remove stickers from the sticker sheet and to position them in the right spots. Although I used hardly any pressure, looking closely, you can see where the tweezers gripped the stickers. What's good about this?-- The level of detail is very high-- Assembly was not difficult (instructions are printed in Japanese but the illustrations are easy to follow, even for a first-timer like me)-- The wings have some moving mechanisms allowing you to really tweak how they look. That was a really pleasant surprise-- Overall size, it's close to 7 inches tall from top of the head to the feet. The wings add about another inch.-- No painting needed!-- Assembly time. It only took me a little over 5 hours to put this together spread out over a few days.Tools & other stuff you should have:-- A pair of flat flush-cut snips. Such as those made by Klein Tools. Whatever cutters you use, make sure it is flat and not curved-- Removable mounting putty. You're going to need this stuff to keep the guns and wings in place. And also for any other problem areas.Overall, I'm very pleased. Pleased enough that I have bought a few other Master Grade (MG) model kits. I'm very excited to put more figures together and building a small collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best looking Gundam
Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2016
This is hands down my favorite looking model kit. Wing Zero has been my favorite Gundam ever since I first saw it in the Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz movie, and it looks just as good in a model kit form.Like with most Master Grades, it has plenty of mobility for great posing angles, including the wings. The main part of the wings is made of plastic but the individual feathers at the tips are made of a smooth rubber but still feel very sturdy so no worries on them snapping apart or breaking. This kit also comes with a stand in the box and attaches on the back of the backpack and has two angles that snap into place, one a higher angle and one a lower. There are two slots on the second set of wings in the back to hide the two beam sabers. I've done some slight panel lining on the head and legs but not the wings yet. I do have one complaint about this kit. It has one of the coolest looking weapons, a twin buster rifle that also separates into individual buster rifles, one for each hand. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to get this thing to hold onto it when they're together. I even have trouble when it's an individual rifle in its hand. I wish there was some sort of peg for the hand to slide into the gun but there isn't and it's a shame. I can sometimes get it to hold it but any movement and it falls right out.Maybe there'd be a little more grip if it was painted but I'm not too sure. Other than that, this is a pretty solid kit and looks great on my shelf with the rest of the Gundam Wing kits.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wing Zero Custom MG
Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2015
First off, this is an amazing and very unique gundam. A one of a kind master grade that will stand out among all the other moble suits, mostly because of the angelic wings.

    Pros-
-Very good articulation especially for being an old kit, good bends out of all the limbs.

    -Very fun/interesting build

    -Excelent posability with the wings

    - Comes with an action base, which is good because it's sorta needed to get the best out of its posing potential.

Now, here are a few gripes I had with it
    Cons-
    - Hands don't have a very good grip on the buster rifles, they work just fine for the beam sabers, but don't expect to have an easy time getting the double buster pose, or any other pose with the buster rifles not being pointed towards the ground. This is the most annoying part of the kit but can easily be worked around.

    - Since it's an old kit some pieces don't have as good connections as the newer kits so expect some looseness in certain areas.

Other than that I definitely recommend it for anybody interested in having this awesome gundam!
